New Edition

I can’t recall a spring in Philadelphia quite this exciting in awhile. With the debut of the Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts, the opening of Art Into Fashion: Roberto Capucci at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the return of the Philadelphia International Flower Show, there is little reason to stay home.

I’m just as giddy about this year’s Spring Fashion Issue. Our cover star, Ralph Rucci, a Philadelphia-bred fashion designer known for his dreamy couture creations, sets the sartorial tone with ease, making way for interviews with jewelry designer Kara Ross, fashion-legend-turned-home-décor-maven Diane von Furstenberg and the infinitely quotable Jonathan Adler, who celebrated the opening of his Old City boutique just shy of the New Year. For further style inspiration, flip to our Spring Fashion feature, where soft neutral hues rule the season.

You’ll also notice a few additions to this issue, the first one of 2011. The new Pursuits section delves into the worlds of automotive and travel, and is also home to a fun Q&A page called “In Writing.” We’ve expanded our Insight section, freshened up Liberties with even more beauty must-haves and even tucked a new wine and spirits spotlight into our Dish pages.

Whether it’s of-the-moment trends, an inaugural cultural event or fresh editorial features, change, in all its forms, is always a good thing.
