The Best of Style

When everybody else is downshifting into summer mode at work, we’re gearing up at Style. That three-month stretch of time when high-priority projects slow, personal calendars clear and “Out of Office” notices flood your inbox, the staff at Philadelphia Style is working harder than ever.

This is the month we unveil our annual Hot List and host our Best of Style event. One can’t happen without the other: The Hot List, our nod to the area’s tastemakers and trendsetters in the worlds of shopping, dining, beauty and other specialty services, allows us not only to recognize our picks in print but toast them in person at Best of Style, one of the most anticipated events in Philadelphia for the past 11 years. The hard work and hours of planning and preparation are time well spent for the entire Style team, not only because we get to connect with old friends and new faces on such a grand scale but because it is our way of saying “thank you” to the countless Philadelphians who never miss the chance to see what exciting features and photos are splashed across our glossy pages.

This issue is no exception.
