Although actress Rebecca Creskoff has been spotted hustling on the small screen with roles in hits such as Mad Men, Law & Order, Desperate Housewives and Parenthood, these days the Elkins Park native is best known as a pimp. On HBO’s sleeper hit Hung, Creskoff plays brash life-coach-turned-hustler Lenore Bernard, performing the role with conviction and aplomb. “She is unapologetic and goes for exactly what she wants, at whatever cost to those around her,” says Creskoff. “I, on the other hand, am a pleaser.” The role has been an exciting change of pace for the actress. “I love getting to play a strong, funny, irreverent woman who isn’t defined by a man or any other normal social convention,” she says. “So often in this business we audition for ‘the girlfriend’ or ‘the wife,’ and unfortunately these roles tend to be generic. I love playing a woman who is anything but generic. Or normal for that matter.”
