Philly Tap & Tavern Comes to Town

At the end of March, Harrah’s Philadelphia opened the doors to their newest bar/restaurant, Philly Tap & Tavern. The beer-centric establishment boasts an impressive selection of brews alongside upscale bar fare.
“Philadelphia is a city that prides itself in accessibility of great neighborhood restaurant and bars,” said Philly Tap & Tavern manager Stephen Demilio. “At Harrah’s Philadelphia, our goal was to create a concept that provided our guests with the atmosphere of their favorite local Philadelphia tavern.”
That being said, diners can expect new twists on old pub grub staples like beer battered onion rings, bacon covered potato skins, NY York strip steak, and twice-fried chicken wings, all carefully crafted by chef Justin Vignola.
To wash it down, the extensive draft beer list includes favorites like Leinenkugel’s Summer Shandy, Dogfish Head 90 Minute I.P.A., Brooklyn Lager, and 21st Amendment Back in Black, among others. Bottled brews run the gamut from a rarer Young’s Double Chocolate Stout to the more familiar Lagunitas IPA, and everything in between.
