1909 Rittenhouse opens for preleasing in August with an abundance of amenities that can’t be missed. When Southern Land Company (SLC) announced its plans to break ground on the last available parcel of land in Rittenhouse, locals were buzzing about the future of the luxury condominium, now known as The Laurel (thelaurelrittenhouse.com). And now, there’s even more exciting news circulating with the announcement of 1909 Rittenhouse (1909rittenhouse.com), the premier apartment homes nestled within the same building’s walls. They begin preleasing on August 15 with an expected move-in date of November. Located on floors 3 through 25, the 184 rental residences come with all of the luxurious amenities one would expect in a building of such stature: Think valet parking, 24-hour concierge, a fourth-floor hospitality bar and a dog spa. Plus—access to yoga and cycling studios on floor 4, as well as the option to become members at Philadelphia’s first Equinox, located on the first, second and third floors. There’s even a new restaurant concept from Schulson Collective within the building. “One amazing thing that we have here is amazing outdoor space,” adds Brian Emmons, a vice president at SLC. “When you stand on the terraces at 1909 Rittenhouse, you literally feel like you’re perched right on the square, which is very, very special.” While most apartments come with their own private outdoor terraces, residents can also enjoy more views on the communal outdoor space, which includes a rooftop pool deck, outdoor dining room with summer kitchen and gas grills, lounge and gas fireplaces. The units themselves also maintain the utmost luxurious standard. Built with 550 to 1,375 square feet of space, the homes come in a variety of options from studio to two-bedroom corner units that face the square—all of which come in a choice of cool and warm color schemes. Even the kitchen impresses with GE Appliances and quartz countertops. Some lucky residents will also have a wet bar and wine fridge. In the two-bedroom apartments specifically, a generous dining area and living room await. The bedrooms themselves are spacious enough to fit a king-size bed, among other necessities. “Future residents are going to wake up, potentially enjoy a cup of coffee on their terrace before they head down to the gym and attend a yoga class or spin class in the 40,000-square-foot state-of-the-art Equinox fitness center, and that’s going to be in the building,” Emmons says of what the daily life of a resident might look like. “After their class, they’re going to head back up to the apartment and get cleaned up and take a two- or three-block walk to their job. … then come back, maybe stop by Rouge and meet a friend for a cocktail before they head back to their apartment.”
