What Philadelphia is today versus what Philadelphia was 20 years ago is like night and day. People rave about Philadelphia for our food, retail scene, real estate situation—for the growth. Philadelphia’s residential density has been growing steadily for over a decade and now ranks as one of the nation’s largest. I think the magazine has helped with that, and I think it will continue to be a reflection of what Philadelphia is. Philadelphia Style, to me, is a celebration of Philadelphia, and how far we’ve come in such a short window of time. I would say my favorite cover was the one that was done by Peter Max because I like modern and contemporary artwork. That’s one that really does stand out in my mind.
