On May 9, 2019, Big Brothers Big Sisters Independence Region hosted the 2019 Building Big Awards at Met Philadelphia. Marcus Allen, CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters Independence Region said, the Building Big Awards serve to honor city leaders who share our passion for investing in children and the community, and individuals who have stepped up to mentor youth within our mentoring program. Honored at the event was John Gattuso, Senior Vice President and Regional Director of Liberty Property Trust's Urban and National Development team, as the Real Estate Person of the Year.
