On May 16, 2019, The Historic Philadelphia Inc. hosted the 10th annual “An Evening in Franklin Square” presented by Parx Casino on one of the first perfect, rain free spring evenings this year. The night began with a garden cocktail party where guests enjoyed passed hors d'oeuvre by Brûlée Catering, and bid on more than 3 dozen exciting silent auction items. Dinner was held under a big tent on the grounds, where guests danced to the sounds of the band Jellyroll. After dinner guests enjoyed the 4th annual Chinese Lantern Festival, and got a sneak preview of the Franklin Square Fountain Show. Proceeds from the benefit supports Historic Philadelphia, Inc.(HPI) as they continue to keep Franklin Square Park “as a safe, welcoming green space in the middle of an active city.”
