On May 21, 2019, The Friends of Rittenhouse Square gathered at the Rittenhouse Hotel for the annual Ball on the Square Patron Party to chat about the summers biggest event coming up in a month, Ball on The Square Thursday, June 20, 2019. Guests enjoyed lite bites prepared by the chefs at the Rittenhouse hotel, cocktails and bid on exclusive auction items including a chance to be an extra in the upcoming Jason Segal AMC TV "Dispatches from Elsewhere" series starring Sally Field, which will be filming in Philly this summer. In the end two winners with a bid of $3,400 will be in a scene and meet all the actors on set. Proceeds from the annual Ball on The Square to fund maintenance of the well used park.
