On June 12, 2019, Community College of Philadelphia (CCP) hosted more than 500 community members at its annual Black & Gold Gala at Vie in Philadelphia, PA. Event proceeds benefit the 50th Anniversary Promise Scholarship, which has provided more than 700 high school graduates across the city with the opportunity to pursue an associate degree at CCP at no cost. The evening consisted of a live donor roll, a music performance by VEP Experience and a VIP cocktail reception and sit-down dinner catered by Cescaphe. The main ceremony featured 50th Anniversary Promise Scholarship students sharing their inspiring educational experiences at CCP and an award ceremony honoring individuals, including Philadelphia Eagle Safety Malcolm Jenkins, for their involvement in community growth in the areas of education, business, social services and health.
