On April 12, 2019, The Curtis Institute of Music celebrated it's 2019 Gala—New Voices, New Ventures at The Barnes Foundation. This year, Curtis’s annual fundraising event celebrates the past, present, and future of Curtis’s vocal studies department, the Curtis Opera Theatre and their enduring impact worldwide. The gala began with a cocktail reception, while guests had the opportunity to tour The Barnes collection. Guests were then seated in the main hall for dinner and were entertained by performances of distinguished bass-baritone, Eric Owens (’95) and master vocal coach, Danielle Orlando. Also performing at the gala were alumni, Elena Perroni (Opera ’18) and Evan LeRoy Johnson (Opera ’18). Gala co-chairs were Eileen Rosenau and William Stensrud.
