On March 16, 2019, Down the Line and Beyond Foundation, a non-profit whose mission is to develop and strengthen inner-city communities in Philadelphia through tennis, hosted its 9th Annual Gala at The Cynwyd Club. Former French Open Champion and current ESPN analyst Luke Jensen served as host and TD Bank was honored with the Community Leadership Award in recognition of the company’s ongoing support of Down the Line’s commitment to making a meaningful impact on the lives of 1,900 Philadelphia area youth in classrooms, court-side, and at neighborhood parks. Proceeds from the Annual Gala have enabled the organization to provide 5,500 hours of free tennis, education, and character-building programs for local children, while creating employment opportunities for 20 coaches hired and trained from within the neighborhoods served.
