On June 10, 2019, Brandywine Realty Trust and Drexel University celebrated the grand opening of Drexel Square with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Designed by West 8 and SHoP Architects, the 1.3-acre community park is the first installment of a $3.5 billion Schuylkill Yards project - an endeavour which seeks to surround the 6.5-acres of land with public green spaces.
