Casey D’Arcy knew that she was going to be a chiropractor in sixth grade. Inspired by an adjustment that remedied her mother’s constant migraines, she went on to chiropractic school at the age of 21 and opened her business, Luminous Chiropractic, by 26. After welcoming her sister Christie’s business, an IV-therapy lounge called City Hydration, to her small 14th-floor Center City office just last year, the pair knew that it was time to expand. Dubbed Wellness Above Walnut, the sisters’ collective officially opened in June and also houses health and wellness coach Jessica Sullivan and Muscle Melt Massage’s Paulina Walska. “It’s like the WeWork of health services,” Christie says.
Diving into all realms of wellness, the quartet of providers offer services like accountability coaching, hot stone massage, a cocktail of IV hydrations and some of the most accurate chiropractic adjustments around thanks to the Piece Results System, a top-of-the-line Motion X-ray (Casey is the only chiropractor in the area to have it). “Our focus is on healing therapies that achieve real results,” Casey says. “We want to provide answers for people who have been stuck in the cogwheel of diagnoses and treatments that just cover up symptoms.” Next on the agenda is expanding to the entire 11th floor—allowing the sisters to bring more businesses onboard. Think sound therapy, red therapy rooms, yoga, reiki and more—much more. 1315 Walnut St., Ste. 1132, wellnessabovewalnut.com
