“When Philadelphia Style came on the scene, not only was the magazine physically bigger, but the spirit of the publication was bold and beautiful. The magazine was celebrating all of the good things happening in this city, from fashion, food, hotels and homes to sports and spirits! I can’t help but think that there is a correlation between Philadelphia Style’s passion and enthusiasm, and the city’s upward trajectory over the last 20 years. I’m on various boards at UPenn, Drexel and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia; chairman of the board of the Philadelphia Film Society; and I see firsthand the pride and stewardship Philadelphia Style takes in promoting all of these institutions and charities. I know my father, Steve Korman, appreciates how much they have helped to champion the causes he cares about so much, as well, like MANNA, Project HOME and Jefferson. I think there is such a great spirit and soul within Philadelphia when it comes to philanthropy—not just in giving dollars, but making sure those dollars are spent meaningfully and with a lot of heart.”
