Philadelphia’s only Champagne vending machine has a cushy new home inside one of the city’s hottest hotels.
If you think popping the cork on a bottle of Moët & Chandon is a satisfying sensation, wait until you experience the on-demand magic of the storied maison’s Moët Mini-Matic. A fixture at tony events around the globe since 2013, the world’s first Champagne vending machine now has a new home inside the marble-clad lobby of the Ritz-Carlton, Philadelphia. “Who doesn’t love Champagne?” says General Manager Leonard Buckley of the property’s chic new amenity. “We are proud to continue evolving in the luxury hospitality marketplace with the Moët Mini-Matic. It is the first of its kind in our city, and we are thrilled to have our guests experience it.” Stop by the lobby bar to acquire a Moët golden token; drop your coin into the gilded vending machine; and, then, with the touch of a button, pick your potion—either Moët & Chandon Brut Impérial or Moët & Chandon Rose Impérial in 200 ml mini bottles. A golden robotic arm fetches and delivers the chilled bottle upright to a small window at the base of the machine. Pop on the complimentary sipper to turn the bottle into a Champagne flute and toast to the good life. Now, someone pass some more gold coins. 10 Avenue of the Arts, 215.523.8000, ritzcarlton.com/philadelphia
