Sartorial-minded Main Liners know that Neiman Marcus is a mecca for all things luxe, but, every year, Our Closet - Powered by JFCS’s ( annual Fashion for All ups the ante even more—and this year’s event, held in November, was no exception.

Bobbie Thomas, style editor for NBC’s Today, emceed as guests mixed and mingled, bubbly cocktails in hand, and then were treated to a runway show featuring some of the hottest looks of the season. From Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci and Prada to The Row and Rag & Bone, models showed everyone how it was done as attendees sat rapt listening to Thomas’s sage advice. Her biggest tips for the season? Animal prints are definitely investmentworthy; white boots aren’t going anywhere anytime soon; and neutrals in different hues are best layered.

“Fashion for All was a tremendous opportunity for our friends, followers and supporters to gather for a fun, engaging day of style, fashion and conversation with Bobbie Thomas,” says Jill Aschkenasy, founder of Our Closet, a volunteer-driven program powered by Jewish Family & Children’s Service that provides free high-quality clothing to vulnerable individuals. But besides the glitz and glamour, the show is a fundraising event, and the $200,000 raised this year alone “will further help us make sure no one in the Greater Philadelphia region is without the basic human need of clothing,” says Aschkenasy. “Fashion is a form of expression, but, sometimes, we forget that clothing is also a necessity,” mused Thomas. “When I learned that Our Closet provides clothing to those struggling in a dignified way that also boosts self-confidence and style, I felt fortunate for the opportunity to be involved in their efforts.”
