There are many things Philadelphia does well: food, art, philanthropy...We could go on. These were all pursuits that restaurateurs Audrey Claire Taichman, Stephen Starr and Mike Solomonov surely had in mind 10 years ago when they created Feastival, a new culinary event to support the city’s budding art scene. Since 2010, the party has raised $3 million for FringeArts, the nonprofit organization behind the 17-day avant-garde arts festival of the same name. In honor of this philanthropic milestone, Feastival will return Sept. 26 to its original home at Cherry Street Pier after four years at La Peg. With the same trio of culinary powerhouses at the helm—plus co-host and chef Nick Elmi—and more than 70 of the city’s finest bars and restaurants in the mix, expect nothing short of an exceptional tasting experience as acrobats and circus performers dazzle with over-the-top performances. Feastival’s coveted VIP ticket gets you early access to the excitement. 7pm, tickets $300, VIP tickets $450, 121 N. Christopher Columbus Blvd., phillyfeastival.com
