Shop Sixty Five’s Linda LaRosa has a full-circle fashion moment with the grand opening of her Doylestown boutique.
Four years after closing the Doylestown location of Shop Sixty Five to bring the contemporary women’s and menswear boutique to Center City, Linda LaRosa is right back where she started. Literally. “My clients had been coming in and asking me to come back to the suburbs,” says LaRosa, who cut her teeth as a fashion editor and celebrity stylist before getting into the retail game more than a decade ago. “I started looking around for a permanent space, and my original store was available.” Two months later, on Aug. 1, LaRosa opened the doors. With her tried-and true fashion formula in mind—“you can be comfortable and still look relevant and chic,” she says—LaRosa lined the racks with of-the-moment denim, luxury knits and going-out tops. Buzzy new brands L’Agence, Veronica Beard, Madeworn, Anine Bing and Alexis join long-running labels like Michelle Mason and Lauren Moshi at both stores. In particular, LaRosa says she is more committed than ever to supporting female designers. “I enjoy working with women who are building something at the same time that I am. at energy propels everyone to grow together and support each other.”
