On October 12, 2019, the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) hosted their 2019 Carousel Ball at The Met Philadelphia. The gala hosted nearly 900 of the region’s philanthropists, corporate leaders and patient families to celebrate both the many remarkable discoveries made by CHOP and the hospital's supporters. This year's distinguished event honorees were Richard D. Wood Jr. and the Wood Family for their philanthropic endeavors towards the hospital. The 2019 black-tie event raised a record-breaking $3.5 million for CHOP’s Cardiac Center.
