Lounging on the beach or by the pool are musts during a shorecation, but what if you’re looking for a pampered touch? Here, we count down the latest and greatest spa experiences across the Shore that are bound to leave you relaxed.
Opt for the royal treatment at Caesar’s Qua Baths & Spa (2100 Pacic Ave., 609.343.2400, caesars.com) with the Cleopatra Ritual ($300): two hours of head-to-toe pampering. Get transported to a tropical island with a kiwi scrub and let a green tea detox and full body massage melt the stress away. Then, be sure to head over to one of the Vichy showers for an invigorating water massage. And the royal treatment doesn’t have to end there—nab a Roman Ritual Pass and you can unwind in a Roman bath after breaking a sweat in the members-only gym.
What happens in Atlantic City should stay in Atlantic City. Don’t let your skin be the tell-all of wild weekend festivities. Thanks to The Water Club’s (1 Borgata Way, 609.317.7555, theborgata.com) Lights, Collagen, Action Facial ($330 for 100 minutes), you can easily hide any telltale signs of a good night out and leave looking like you’ve had a full eight hours of beauty sleep. Thanks to LED lights, this 50-minute treatment boosts collagen and rids your skin of the nasty free radicals that lead to aging—plus, it ends with a luxurious gold-infused collagen mask. Afterward, enjoy serene ocean views through floor-to-ceiling windows inside the lofty two-story spa.
Go full-on escape-mode at Harrah’s Resort’s Red Door Spa (777 Harrah’s Blvd., 609.441.5333, myndspa.com). Start with a top-shelf 80-minute Escape Facial ($240)—complete with an enzyme exfoliation, collagen eye treatment, and microdermabrasion. If you really want to get your glow on this summer, add an oxygen infusion, where vitamin-infused oxygen is misted onto your face to give you plump, moisturized and healthy skin.
In its debut summer, the Salt Spa at The Reeds (9601 Third Ave., Stone Harbor, 609.368.0100, reedsatshelterhaven.com) is sure to be on the Shore checklists of many beauty gurus. After all, it is located inside the best hotel in New Jersey, according to Condé Nast Traveler. Inspired by its coastal locale, the two-story Stone Harbor destination is finished with gray hues and touches of shimmer. Inside the Turkish hammam are heated marble tables where we suggest getting a full-body exfoliation and mask before the relaxing massage. Top off the blissful 80-minute hammam treatment ($350) in the Brine Lounge with calming music, revitalizing light therapy and a refreshing mist from the Himalayan salt waterfall.
Become one with the sea at Sea Spa at Tropicana Atlantic City (2831 Boardwalk, 609.340.4363, tropicana.net/sea-spa). Among the long list of ocean-inspired treatments on the menu, the 50-minute algae wrap ($130) gets you tangled up in nutrient-rich seaweed. After a gentle exfoliation, you are wrapped in a seaweed body wrap bursting with good-for-the-skin vitamins. The marine body wrap promises plenty of benefits, from increasing your metabolism to relieving aches and pains. But don’t leave without a visit to the Solarium’s destressing sauna, Jacuzzi and steam room.
