On October 10, 2019, Philadelphia Zoo celebrated its 10th Annual Global Conservation Gala at the Zoo, an iconic platform used to honor extraordinary individuals who are making a difference for wildlife. At this year’s Gala, Philadelphia Zoo will celebrate Joan C. Hendricks, BS, VMD, PhD, an exceptional person and forward-thinking professional and animal advocate honoring her with the 2019 Conservation Impact Award for Outstanding Leadership.
