It’s all fun and games—luxe style—at this opulent Main Line mansion.

“Everything is authentic,” says Barroway. “It’s got classic old-world styling on the outside with more modern, functional interior,” he says. Misha Haghani, principal of Paramount Realty USA, wholeheartedly agrees. With its classic stone exterior with limestone accents, a multicolored slate roof and multiple terraces that offer sweeping views of the property’s gardens, “the house is designed to emulate the Gothic Revival Main Line mansions built in the 19th and early 20th centuries by Philadelphia’s industrialists,” says Haghani. “The biggest difference is that this one is a new construction. It has state-of-the-art everything. It’s 20th-century grandeur with 21st-century comfort.”
Award-winning architect Peter Zimmerman, interior design firm Forbes Design Consultants and Cherokee Construction worked with Barroway for three years to bring his dream to fruition—and the end result is nothing less than spectacular. Besides the uber-luxe six bedrooms, six full bathrooms, three half-bathrooms, attached four-car garage, elevator and the requisite over-the-top kitchen, it’s the fun and games that makes this home like five-star resort living at its absolute nest.
“I was actively involved in the design of the lower-level play area,” says Barroway, and his penchant for fun and games shines through. The play area includes a large game room with a wet bar, screening-quality theater with stadium seating, and a wine cellar with an adjacent wine tasting area. There’s also a full gym with glass doors overlooking an indoor lap pool and lounge area. And then there’s a terrace with a hot tub overlooking the gardens, lawn, tennis court and numerous ATV trails threaded throughout the property. “It’s my favorite part,” Barroway says. “It doesn’t get better than an indoor pool, theater, Ping-Pong table, antique jukebox, Coke machine, and, of course, pinball and old-school arcade games.”
But Haghani sees the value more in the home’s architectural significance.“ This is probably the first Gothic Revival mansion with stone exterior and slate roof that has been built in a very long time,” says Haghani. “No one builds houses like this anymore.
