As the fashion industry continues to shift, brands must and creative ways to appeal to core clientele and changing style demands.
Italian house Tod’s may have found the solution with Tod’s Factory, a collaborative initiative through which a designer reinterprets the house’s historical codes for a capsule collection. First up: Alessandro Dell’Acqua injects his signature penchant for the quirky and feminine into the brand’s legendary level of craftsmanship. Under Dell’Acqua, the classic Gommino loafer is reborn in patent leathers and accented with tonal velvets, while slingback pebbled heels blend sport and sophistication. Most notable, though, is the outerwear. Tod’s staples such as a leather bomber and an all-weather jacket are rendered in more masculine cuts, giving way to slightly oversize pieces that hang with supreme ease.
