The Blue Bell Inn has plenty of outdoor space, plus a heated tent that’s perfect for cold-weather parties.

The standout of this suburban haunt is its heated tent, which goes up every December for a Winter Wonderland–themed party. “Last year, we hosted a New Year’s Eve bash for 200 people in our tent,” says manager of public relations and marketing Mary Alana Kurz, “complete with an eight-piece band, stationed hors d’oeuvres, and an ice sculpture.” 601 Skippack Pk., Blue Bell, 215-646-2010
“The Palm offers prix-fixe menus, as well as the option for custom wine-pairing dinners, reception menus, and the opportunity to create a menu based on a theme,” says sales and marketing manager Beth Minkus. “A popular way to celebrate a successful year is to use the entire restaurant and customize an event from start to finish, with a reception in the bar area and lunch or dinner in our main dining room.” 200 S. Broad St., 215-546-7256
A holiday party for up to 150 guests can be held in the Sopra Lounge, a space on the deck of the restaurant that is open year round and creates the sense you are on vacation the moment you walk in. The rest of the party details are completely customizable, from menus to décor. “We custom cater every menu to your unique specifications and assist with all aspects of planning, including food selections, decorations, even in-house flower arrangements,” says operations manager Rosita Lamberti. 212 Walnut St., 215-238-0499
Host a reception amid the modern atmosphere of this Midtown Village eatery. Three packages are offered for a two-hour event, but we suggest the Top Shelf Tapas package, which includes seasonal sangria, premium liquors, and appetizers like figs in a blanket with blue cheese, applewoodsmoked bacon, and Marcona almonds. 1229 Spruce St., 215-790-9494
