The Bellevue Hotel was the perfect spot for Alexander King and Srey Beaulac’s meaningful ceremony and reception.Srey and Alexander performed a traditional Cambodian ceremony
ALEXANDER KING, a physician, immediately swiped right when he saw the Tinder profile of personal trainer Srey Beaulac in 2016. A NYE engagement followed just over three years later as it became 2020—and the couple chose The Bellevue Hotel for their June 2022 nuptials. “We met in Philadelphia, so we wanted to get married in the city we met in,” says Alexander.
Alexander and Srey chose to perform a traditional Cambodian ceremony with Buddhist monks’ blessings, combined with Western-style vows. “We both identify as Buddhist, and this was a very special ceremony for us,” says Srey. Guests were ushered to the grand ballroom following the ceremony, where lobster bisque (the couple’s favorite), filet mignon and Chilean sea bass were all on the menu. The 200 guests danced to EBE’s Verona before slicing into a four-tiered confection featuring raspberry marble cake with lemon filling and lemon cake with raspberry filling. “Everyone had a great time, and The Bellevue Hotel staff was incredible with making sure everything was running smoothly,” says the groom.
Bredenbeck’s Bakery created a beautiful four-tiered, all-white cake.
