Ally Foga and Tyler Gallen celebrated their nuptials and love for the sea with a wintry, black-tie soiree at the beach.Tyler and Ally take a walk as newlyweds.
Alexandra Foga and Tyler Gallen love the ocean—from their Cape May engagement in August 2020 to their Stone Harbor nuptials 15 months later in December 2021. The Reeds at Shelter Haven was the natural choice for the NYC couple (both originally from the Philadelphia suburbs) to tie the knot since they had made nearby Avalon their home during the pandemic. “We both love the water and the beach, and as natives of the Philly area, naturally we had spent a lot of summers at the shore in South Jersey,” says Tyler. “We frequented The Reeds quite often during the off-season and decided it would only be fitting to have a winter wedding there, overlooking the bay, so our family and friends could experience it as well.” On a wintry December day, 150 guests chanted “one more song” after the groom played “Galway Girl” for his new bride on acoustic guitar. The reception was dotted with white flowers and greenery—an elegant color theme that complemented the bay in the winter. The party progressed to Stone Harbor Pizza Pub followed by an impromptu stop at Fred’s Tavern before the newlyweds escaped to the warmer sands of Tahiti and Bora Bora.
