What advice do you have for brides when they are selecting their big-day accessories? I tell brides that the first priority is finding pieces that make them feel beautiful inside because that comfort and confidence will come through on the day and in the photos. I also tell brides not to look for pieces they think are the most timeless. Whatever you choose is of this era and you’ll love it for that reason.
There are so many options out there. How do you suggest they narrow it down, or what is a good starting point? It’s easier to narrow it down once brides know what hairstyle they’re imagining for their big day. Start doing some research on the look you’re going for, and from there you can figure out what accessories work best. Just remember to look for images that are similar to your natural hair type so they are relevant. We’ve seen a lot of our brides wearing headbands or circlets lately, including our Bailey and Ines headbands and Vera circlet, all of which are versatile for almost all hair—curly, straight, short, long, thick and fine. Combs and bobby pins like our Elissa and Pippa bobby pin styles are also great if you want to wear an updo.

What trends are you seeing now in terms of bridal accessories, and how has this recently evolved? Headbands and headpieces have been super strong. What people are wearing in fashion, including larger and bolder headpiece styles, are also showing up in bridal. We see brides wearing headbands not just for their wedding day, but also the surrounding events, from rehearsal dinners to bridal showers and more. We are also seeing a lot of our brides wearing voilettes like our new floral Calla or classic triple rosette style, whether with a long gown or for a microwedding look.

What advice do you have for brides who have shifted to more intimate or virtual weddings? We’ve noticed brides wearing simpler dresses for virtual ceremonies, which makes accessorizing really special and impactful. Going with a simpler or off-the-rack dress gives you more flexibility in choosing your jewelry and headpieces. Statement accessories can make the look elegant without being overly formal for virtual or small garden weddings.

What inspired your current collection? We designed this spring collection with a lot of optimism and hope for the future. We are really hoping people are able to celebrate and be with the people they love this year, so some of the pieces, from our new Doris headband to the Farrah circlet, are light and airy, but also a bit playful too.

What other designers or bridal collections do you love this season or think pair well with your collection? The amazing thing about accessories is they can pair with so many things. We’ve seen the same headpieces with superornate Galia Lahav gowns and modern Khaite dresses. Accessories make the gown your own. Some of our other favorite bridal designers this season are Danielle Frankel, Viktor&Rolf, Naeem Khan, Rime Arodaky and Mira Zwillinger.
Any bridal beauty essentials that you recommend? I’d recommend finding a hair and makeup team that you really trust, whose work you’ve seen before and aesthetic you admire. It’s hard to change an artist’s style, so understanding what they are skilled or well-versed in is important when doing your search. Brides should also remember to bring their bobby pins, headpieces and other accessories to their hair trial so that the stylist and you can determine exactly how they will rest in the hair without the need to improvise on the day of.
