Atlantic City cemented its reputation as a resort town when wide-eyed spectators flocked to Steel Pier for the debut of its famous horse-diving show in 1928. Nearly a century later, there’s a whole new reason to visit A.C. for entertainment.
The Hook, a new live stage show at Caesars Atlantic City Hotel and Casino (caesars.com) that runs five nights a week throughout the year, is a bawdy mix of camp, cabaret, comedy and spectacular circus stunts featuring aerialists, contortionists and dancers. An elaborately choreographed juggling routine between two performers while simultaneously swapping three-piece suits is a Hook highlight.

Caesars Atlantic City is also home to Spiegelworld’s second outpost of Superfrico, an Italian-American concept where roaming performers entertain diners. The openings are all part of a nearly $240 million investment in property updates that has also brought Nobu restaurant and hotel and Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen to A.C. Plus, more than 750 rooms and suites have been renovated as well as the outdoor rooftop pool at Caesars’ Qua Baths & Spa.
