What motivated you to start your business?
I have worked in different capacities as a hairstylist for many years and nothing really clicked and felt as creative and exciting as I wanted until I started doing bridal hair. I worked for a few bridal teams to start out and felt like there were things I wanted to offer my brides through their experience with me that wasn’t really an option working under someone else’s brand, so I decided to grow my own!
Do you do anything that is signature to your brand?
My bridal salon, where I hold preview appointments, is in the Washington Square West neighborhood of Philly and is also available to my brides as a wedding day getting ready suite if they choose! It is such a fun space to be in, major retro vibes, and I have even incorporated a small vintage boutique within it if you want to shop for a bridal or party outfit while you are there!
What is your favorite trend for wedding hair currently?
I love all the versions of waves, especially the softer glam waves that I’ve been getting asked for a lot this year, but I also love that there is a style of waves for every type of bride! My brides tend to want to feel like themselves on their wedding day, so whether they like wearing their hair up or down, I love working with them to create an elevated version of how they feel best!
What is something you constantly strive for?
I built my business around my dream job and strive to offer a bridal experience that shows you that I am truly excited to be a part of your big day and am so grateful that you chose me!
How far in advance should couples book your business?
I typically book brides up to 12-18 months in advance of their date. I only take one wedding per date so that I can be available for any schedule changes that might happen. Once a date is booked it is no longer available to other couples, unfortunately, so the sooner you reserve your date with me, the better!
