Catie Gainor, owner of Philly’s new bookshop Binding Agents, dishes on her favorite holiday entertaining cookbooks.
Whether it’s whipping up mom’s famous stuffing or Philadelphia’s top chefs inviting you to their table, the holidays remind us that we truly are a foodie city. A new epicenter for this every-blossoming community is the only local cookbook shop, Binding Agents (bindingagentsphilly.com), in the 9th Street Italian Market. Founded by Catie Gainor last month, the store promises a home for the culinary curious. “Like sharing a meal, there’s a magic to shops like mine that I think people are hungry for,” she says. “I hope we can satisfy some of that craving with books, goods, gifts and gatherings.”
