BRIANNA CRETER, public relations and special events manager at Neiman Marcus King of Prussia, was in for a surprise when John Regan, a financial sales executive, proposed at The Four Seasons Philadelphia about five years after the couple started dating. “We were supposed to be going to dinner to celebrate John’s birthday, but he changed the plan and said we were going to get drinks before,” says Brianna, who originally met her groom in high school and reconnected with him after college.

“I was completely shocked! After, he had all our friends and family waiting at the Field House to celebrate.” Friends and family gathered again just over two years later as the duo celebrated their love at the Ballroom at the Ben. “It is a gorgeous venue and the epitome of a classic downtown Philadelphia wedding,” says the bride. “The first wedding we ever went to as a couple was there, so it felt meant to be!” Classic hues of gold, black and white were woven throughout, with roses and hydrangeas dotting the tables. The couple’s 285 guests sliced into a five-tiered red velvet cake before continuing the night with an afterparty.
