What inspired you to pursue photography and start your business?

My passion for photography was born during a casual photoshoot with a friend who was going through a tough breakup. To lift her spirits, we decided to throw a pizza party, add a little glam, and do a fun portrait shoot. The experience had an incredible impact on her. Her confidence and sense of self shifted dramatically, and it was so inspiring to witness. I felt proud of her, but also a sense of pride in myself for being part of such a transformative moment. It was so powerful that I thought to myself, "I want to create experiences like this for others, over and over again." That moment became the spark for my purpose and the foundation of my business.

How does your approach to photography make your brand unique?

What sets us apart is our perspective, artistry, and commitment to excellence. Every session we do is deeply personal, inspired by the unique story, connection, and personalities of each couple. We see them as our own personal movie stars, and our goal is to make them feel that way—throughout the entire experience and in the photos that follow. The result is a gallery of images that are more than just pictures—they are moments that authentically reflect who they are.

Do you do anything that is signature to your brand?

Yes, our signature lies in both our portraiture and the intentional perspective we bring to each session. The BB brand is driven by freedom and self-expression, and we aim to capture each couple’s personal power in an authentic way. Our portraits are thoughtfully crafted to reflect their unique essence—whether that’s quiet and mysterious or bubbly and confident. The emotional resonance in each portrait is a signature element that sets us apart and speaks directly to who they are as individuals and as a couple.

What do you believe is essential for couples to truly enjoy their wedding day?

Time to experience it. I think it’s so important for couples to be able to be truly immersed in their wedding day. Create a relaxed, meaningful atmosphere and let the day happen to you. Rigid timelines, day-long photoshoots, feeling rushed, and stressed tend to create an energy where you aren’t feeling present and really experiencing your day. Structure is important, but the freedom for real, honest, and organic moments that happen during the unscheduled is where the magic happens. With that being said, choose a planning & vendor team that understands this, and trust them to help create that environment for you.

What brings you the most fulfillment in your work as a photographer?

Without a doubt, the most gratifying part of my business is seeing how people feel when they see themselves in our photos. There is something truly powerful about capturing a person’s essence and giving them a moment to see just how beautiful and extraordinary they are. It’s not just about the images; it’s about the emotions they evoke. This feeling—the one that initially inspired me to pursue photography—continues to be the driving force behind my passion and purpose in this industry.
