Most people know Emmy Award-winning style pundit, TV personality, fashion designer and New York Times bestselling author Carson Kressley from his breakout show, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, and as a long-running judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race, but this notoriously cheeky Pennsylvanian is downright serious when it comes to his first passion: horses. Well, as serious as Kressley can be. The world-class equestrian stole away to his horse farm right outside the Main Line when stay-at-home orders went into effect this spring, where he fully embraced the suburban experience. “I basically turned Amish,” quips Kressley. “I baked and worked with the horses and spent a lot of time with family.” In August, he also served as honorary chair for Health on Wheels, an annual gala that raises crucial funds for a Lehigh Valley-based ambulance corps. Now back to work—and big-city living—Kressley is ping-ponging between Los Angeles and New York to shoot a still untitled special for E! and other hush-hush projects. And though Broadway will remain dark through 2020, Kressley says he’d like to see his name in lights one of these days. “I’d love to get into more acting. Broadway is such hard work, but it would be a fun thing to try out.” Adds Kressley of his can-do work mentality, “I’m a subscriber to the school of thought that anything is possible and ignorance is bliss. I say yes.”
