Celebrated for their expert eye, we asked some of Philadelphia's top tastemakers to share their guide to giving.
BROOKE ROUNICK Whether she’s combing the King of Prussia Mall for client gifting or ticking items off the wish lists of her friends and family, Brooke Rounick has sound advice about holiday shopping: shop early to beat the rush and buy the A-list goods first. The Philly-based stylist, who shares every sartorial move she makes on @FashionablyNoted, has taken on a new role as the stylist for contemporary women’s label Ookie & Lala and is co-hosting a spring 2024 charity event with Givenchy for Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Of all the luxurious gifts that Rounick has ever received, she cherishes the presents made by her children.
LAURIN TALESE Philadelphia vocalist and songwriter Laurin Talese has traveled all over the world to perform and serve as a cultural ambassador for the nation’s American Music Abroad program. Before she begins another busy year—Talese has two musical releases dropping and more stage acting on the horizon—she’ll spend the holidays with family in her hometown of Cleveland, Ohio. Talese’s favorite holiday gifts center on clean skincare and haute accessories, but the best present she ever received was a kitten at 12 years old. It’s no surprise that ASPCA and Morris Animal Refuge are two charities that Talese supports at the holidays and all year long.
LUDOVIC CAYACY This holiday season will be especially memorable for Ludovic Cayacy, who joined the Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia as director of marketing this past summer after leading the sales division at the fabled Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris. Cayacy is already making an impression at the city’s premier luxury hotel, including partnering with the Philadelphia Orchestra for a special dining event at Jean-Georges December 13 and introducing new menus at Vernick Fish, JG SkyHigh and Jean-Georges. His gift list nods to his background in luxury retail and love for his new hometown.
