Designer Azeeza Khan takes on bridal.Azeeza Sadie raw silk halter gown in white with high-low ruffle hem
Azeeza Khan (azeezaofficial.com) launched her womenswear label in 2013, and quickly earned a star reputation for her luxe silk tops and dresses. This year, she made her official foray into bridal with a range of pieces available at Anthropologie Weddings. The collection is an ode to her classic styles and use of specialty silk fabrics. “It is our brand DNA, converted into beautiful bridal whites,” Khan says. “I always say we’ve been doing bridal since day one; the fashion girl would find one of our dresses and say, ‘Hey, if that dress was in white, it would be my dream dress.” The pieces are intended to be heirlooms. “I’ve always emphasized luxury fabrication,” Khan says. “The use of raw silks is a nod to my Indian heritage, as those were the fabrics I grew up on.” In addition to the main event, the collection is ideal for reception dresses, rehearsal dinner looks and more.
