Empowerment is at the forefront of the first annual Philly Female Forum. Hosted by women for women, the virtual event, produced by PGD Global and presented by Toyota, will celebrate some of Philadelphia’s most powerful women. In four categories—Business, Fashion, Media and Sports—you will have the opportunity to hear personal experiences and professional advice from 20 powerful female industry leaders.
On the business end, women such as Sharrie Williams, the lead anchor and reporter for 6ABC Philadelphia will be giving their insight on the importance of representation and equality in the workplace. If fashion peaks your interest, the Fashion Forward panel includes designer Nancy Volpe Berringe, who you may recognize as the runner up on the most recent season of Project Runway. The media panel, hosted by NBC10 Meteorologist Britney Shipp, will include Editor in Chief of Philadelphia Style Kristin Detterline and Radio personality and DJ Patty Jackson, among others. And let’s not forget that Philadelphia is one of the most celebrated sports cities in America. During the sports panel, women such as On-Air Radio Personality Mina SayWhat and Sports Analyst Dei Lynam will be discussing their predictions for the evolution of Philadelphia sports post-pandemic. Bridgett Battles, Lara Price and Christine Krzyzanowski will also be participating.
On October 19, these influential women will come together virtually to provide the next generation of female leaders with their insight on their respective industries. The free-to-register event should definitely not be missed. phillyfemaleforum.com
