On June 18, 2018, the Freire Foundation, in partnership with Comcast NBCUniversal, held their Summer Uptown event at the Packard Motor Car showroom. Over 350 guests attended the event and nearly $500,000 was raised to benefit technology and creative programming for underserved students in Philadelphia and Wilmington. Attendees enjoyed live performances and art installations by Freire students, live music by (U)nity, and the premiere of North Broad Revival, a documentary by Freire students.
