As your calendar fills with holiday parties galore, look to one local stylist’s advice for looking your best.
The Loretta LS mini and V-wire midi dress add a pop of color
The holiday season is officially upon us, which can only mean one thing: What will you be wearing to all of your festivities? To find the answer to this question, we sat down with stylist Nancy Amoroso (@neamoroso) to chat about all things fabulous. “Feathers, sequins, satin, leather and velvet are all part of the delicious holiday palette of dressing,” she says. This could mean shimmering sequined dresses or even double-breasted blazers in a soft velvet sheen—all paired with platform heels in a variety of heights and widths. “They’re back in full force like they were in the ’90s,” she adds. But when it comes to this season’s fashion faux pas, you ask? Amoroso says, “I think this is a season where it would be pretty hard to make a mistake. It’s the first time in three years that there’s been a reason to dress like that. I think the bolder, the brighter, the flashier… All bets are off on being super conservative. It’s party time.”

“The sequin blazer is a way to translate daytime into party time. You can throw it on over a dress, a skirt, a pair of jeans and feel the holiday spirit. It’s a perfect pairing for anybody to have in their wardrobe for the holiday season and then on.”

“This is for the younger, fun-loving party girl. This is a way to take a daytime look wearing the blazer and a pair of boots into the evening and party venues by taking the blazer off. It’s a classic, elegant, fun-loving bustier.”
