As the summer sparks alive, a rush of people flock to the New Jersey coastline for a much-needed moment of post-pandemic pampering. Fortunately, a flourish of local clothing brands are making their way to the shore as well.

MARGATE MAGNIFICENCE
For a third summer, Sunset Outpost (sunsetoutpost.com) brings a curated collection of relaxed yet classy wares to the Margate community. Owner and Margate native Farah Burns brings handmade, bohemian items together for beach houses and housewarming gifts. Imagine all things handmade serveware, beach bags and decorative pillows. Burns’ top sellers include designers Tina Frey’s modern serveware made with resin, Bryar Wolf’s bohemian pillows and Kerri Rosenthal’s home decor.
This summer, look forward to shell-shaped pillows by artisan Tamar Morgenstein, ceramics by Demetria Chappo and so much more.

BOHEMIAN BLISS
Anthropologie (anthropologie.com), a Philly-based daughter company of URBN, has been a local— and international—success since its 1992 debut in Wayne. Now, the beloved bohemian brand is bringing its breezy apparel to the balmy coast of the Jersey Shore with an in-house pop-up at The Reeds at Shelter Haven (reedsatshelterhaven.com), a 58-room boutique resort. The recently launched retail experience is tailored toward beach favorites, featuring an appealing array of signature printed dresses, swimsuits, beach-to-dinner cover-ups, summertime statement accessories and much more. Moreover, the pop-up will present one-of-a-kind designs from select artisans, such as Maeve, Erika Pena, Farm Rio and Faithful.
“Our hope at Anthropologie is to evoke the fun of discovery, and travel is an important element of that,” says Elizabeth Preis, chief marketing officer for Anthropologie. “It makes perfect sense to launch our first hotel-based popup. We’re excited to bring the thrill of discovery to The Reeds and welcome Stone Harbor’s summer crowd into our pop-up shop.”
After more than a year spent indoors, what better way to spring back into style than with a lavish staycation at The Reeds while splurging on a trip to Anthropologie?

TWO-STOP SHOP
With the seasonal setup of two retail outposts from local Philadelphia boutiques, the sun isn’t the only searing phenomenon scorching the Jersey coastline this summer. Addison Bay (addisonbay.com), the e-tailer activewear brand, has opened its first storefront in Avalon. In addition to Addison Bay’s own label, the shop will feature brands such as Aviator Nation, Beyond Yoga and Ultracor. Moreover, Kin Boutique (shop-kin.com), the Pine Street staple for sleek, chic women’s clothing, will be partnering with Stacey’s Surf & Paddle (staceyssurf.com). Known as Sunset Shopping, this commercial cooperative will take place from 4 to 8PM every other Friday throughout June and July. There, you can purchase the perfect swimsuit to wear after a sun-kissed day on the beach.
