Kalgi Pandya and Sid Lyons celebrated their nuptials with a weekendlong affair in Philadelphia.

KALGI (KAL) PANDYA MET SID LYONS through the online dating app Hinge—and were quickly hooked after an epic first date in Philly. Three years later Sid got down on one knee with a sparkling round diamond, and the duo started planning their unforgettable wedding weekend. With the help of planner Susan Norcross, the Indian affair included a sangeet, baraat around City Hall and traditional Hindu ceremony, before a traditional Western reception at the Fairmount Park Horticulture Center.

“The layout and greenery made the venue unique,” says Sid of the nature-inspired space. “Kal had a vision of having fairy lights at our wedding, and the greenhouse structure, along with Papertini’s incredible planning and design skills, made this possible.” But the couple’s favorite part of the reception came as a surprise to all: “The band, Jelly Roll, played ‘Treasure’ by Bruno Mars and had Sid sing to me while bent on one knee,” says the bride. “Unbeknownst to all, including Sid himself, he demonstrated his pipes and sang in key to kick the party off in a perfect way. Guests could not believe it was unplanned!”
