Philadelphia Style caught up with singer-songwriter Kelsea Ballerini to chat about her upcoming tour, and why she's excited for her stop in the City of Brotherly Love.
Soaring to stardom with her debut album, The First Time, singer and songwriter Kelsea Ballerini made country music history when her first three singles, Love Me Like You Mean It, Dibs, and Peter Pan all topped the charts at number one. Since then, she’s been nominated for a Grammy in the best new artist category, received CMT’s Breakout Artist of the Year award, and was given the Rising Star honor at Billboard’s 2015 Women in Music event.
As her current single, Yeah Boy, makes its way up on Billboard’s Country Music chart, Ballerini is gearing up for a world tour alongside country superstars, Lady Antebellum. Here, we caught up with the singer to talk about the tour and her plans for the future.
What is it like to tour with Lady Antebellum?

How did you react when you were nominated for a Grammy award?
KB: I think of the Grammys as the pinnacle [of music.] To be thought of by my peers as one of the five best new music artists is really encouraging, and I am so grateful.
