Trade those flip-flops for cowboy boots when Lady Antebellum lights up Atlantic City for a second summer.
Lady Antebellum has performed around the world more than a few times since the group formed in 2006, but we like to think that the Nashville trio (Charles Kelley, Hillary Scott, and Dave Haywood) have a soft spot for the City of Brotherly Love.
In 2014, they took the stage at The Hamels Foundation’s Annual Diamonds & Denim charity event and managed to bring even some of the Phillies to their feet belting out party-anthem covers, and last summer, Lady A hit Atlantic City for a free beach concert that drew 65,000 fans.
The eight-time Grammy winners return to AC on August 14 for a show at Borgata Casino Hotel & Spa toting new tunes from their fifth studio album, 747, and radio hits like “Love Don’t Live Here” and “I Run to You.” Marilyn Russell, host of 95.7 Ben FM Mornings, calls their 2009 smash single “Need You Now” one of “the most perfect break-up songs ever,” and we fully agree.
“The haunting melody and emotion put forth is spot on... we’ve all been there. Oh, the humanity! It’s a real heartbreaker,” she says. The only thing more heartbreaking? Missing out on tickets.
