The latest from Philadelphia Style's Publisher, John Colabelli.
With Nicole Miller and Mary K. Dougherty.
Actress Kaitlin Olson has brains, beauty, and personality. Naturally, this makes her a perfect choice for our Women of Influence cover. The It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia star—who is also married to Philly native and Sunny co-star and co-creator Rob McElhenney—appears in this issue timed with the release of her upcoming Pixar movie, Finding Dory. Olson joined us a few years ago for an event we hosted with McElhenney in support of his Men’s Issue cover, and we are thrilled to have her back in the Philadelphia Style fold. This edition also marks our annual Women of Influence feature story, and each time the talent keeps getting better.
With Veuve Clicquot’s Michelle Bonsick, John D. Baer, and Sarah Starr at the Nicole Miller VIP Fashion Show at the Hyatt at The Bellevue.
The overall story continues to be about the city’s most influential ladies and their many personal and professional pursuits. But after four years, we remain on the hunt for new personalities with new stories to share. I’m happy to say that all five of the ladies profiled on the pages ahead represent the current generation of Philadelphia influencers, from nonprofits to government and the private sector. Our Healthy Living section returns again for 2016 in this issue. We spoke to some of the area’s top health systems and their esteemed doctors for insights into the cutting-edge treatments and research that they are working on. I am constantly impressed by how Philadelphia is at the forefront of medicine on a national and international level.
My wife Lauren and I attended the Philadelphia Flower Show Black-Tie Preview Party along with CBS3’s David Yadgaroff and Rochelle and Michael Steinberg.
Health and wellness is a timely complement to Philadelphia Style’s city-focused coverage, and we are pleased to bring the section back for a second year. I hope you enjoy the issue.
