Advice for engaged couples: When it comes to choosing vendors, focus on vendors you have a great connection with. Ensure their personality and vibe will enhance your wedding day, and you feel comfortable being honest with them about your wants and needs. The coordination between all of your vendors has such a substantial and intangible impact on the wedding day.
What is something you constantly strive for: Relationships with our couples make this the most fun job in the world. We are with families on one of the happiest days of their lives, and it ends with a dance party! We want to make friends and connections, when a couple invites us for dinner long after the wedding we know we found our people.
Who inspires you: Our kids, we bring a camera with us everywhere we go. We are fortunate to be able to capture our family memories for ourselves, even if it’s just an iPhone photo. We understand from photographing our own family the value in preserving these moments.
What sets your business apart: We are husband and wife, which may not be specifically unique, but our backgrounds are the special sauce. Simon has a background in photojournalism and Magda has her degree in dance performance. We each shine in different parts of wedding day. Simon captures stunning fleeting moments and Magda focuses on the fine art styled photos and details. It provides each gallery a well rounded story that ebbs and flows beautifully.
What do you think is essential for any wedding: Ensuring you build moments of downtime into your wedding day timeline. You’ll hear over and over again that the day goes so quickly, it’s hard to combat that feeling. Set aside time for you and your partner to take it all in together. It also provides for a quiet time to reset a busy sometimes overcrowded schedule. So 2 parts, try not to jam too much in, and account for a few calm breaks.
