WAY PAST BOOKS BY HALLEE ADELMAN
Philadelphia native, mom, author, filmmaker and educator Hallee Adelman dives into thought awareness and meaningful issues in her latest youth series, Way Past Books. A must-read for the little ones in your life, these books follow the narratives of children experiencing emotions like anger, jealousy, worry and sadness. “With these books, I want kids to see that feeling big feelings—whether mad, sad, worried—is OK and sometimes important, but they don’t have to take their anger out on others,” Adelman says, “They can find positive ways to get past their big feelings like running, dancing, baking, breathing and talking it out. Hopefully, grown-ups and kids who read the book will be inspired to turn negative energy into something productive, and to make better choices when handling difficult feelings.” waypastbooks.com; halleeadelman.com

STOVE AND TAP
Right in the heart of West Chester’s vibrant and robust downtown scene comes Stove and Tap, a rustic Americana-inspired eatery featuring upscale comfort food classics and chef-driven dishes utilizing local and seasonal ingredients. Tap nachos with charred corn, beans, Jack cheese, jalapeno and cilantro start the meal off right and accent the kitchen’s hearty handheld brisket dip perfectly. Feeling thirsty? Head to the bar, where you’ll find a bevy of craft cocktails, U.S.-made wines and a dynamic beer list made for kicking back with friends. End dinner on a sweet note with an all-American dessert—think butterscotch and salted caramel budino, warm apple crumble and the hot chocolate pot molten cake. 158 West Gay St., West Chester, stoveandtap.com
