When New York City’s maman (mamannyc.com) opened its first Greater Philadelphia-area location in Ardmore this October, locals fawned at the idea of indulging in its popular nutty chocolate chip cookies and classic croque maman. “At maman, we want to create a home away from home for our customers, and we personally felt right at home visiting Ardmore while we were looking for locations,” says Elisa Marshall, who co-owns the bakery with Ben Sormonte. “The [town] boasts such charm and beauty, and we felt like the warm and welcoming environment we offer at maman would be the perfect complement to Ardmore’s food and beverage scene.” This spring, guests can enjoy new warm weather items amid the vintage southern Franceinspired decor. Marshall adds, “Expect to see lots of fruit-forward pastries, fun infusions of lavender and of course more bunny-esque items as we get ready for Easter.”
