Spoil yourself down the Shore with this season’s hottest beachside restaurants—from award-winning chefs to delectable bites, you won’t be disappointed.
Bobby’s Burger’s marks Flay’s return to the Atlantic City market after Bobby Flay Steakhouse closed last year.
EYES ON THE FRIES
Lucky for Atlantic City weekenders, Caesars Entertainment is blessing Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City this month with a Bobby’s Burgers (bobbyflay.com)—its second East Coast location. Cooking up original recipes of piled-high burgers, sweet shakes and salty fries, this eatery is a must-try. “My goal is to have the entire Jersey Shore eating Bacon Crunchburgers, crispy fries and pistachio shakes for years to come,” says acclaimed chef Bobby Flay. Or bite into the cheesy Bobby Blue + Bacon Burger topped with blue cheese sauce and bacon. Either way, you’re bound to sate that craving.
In addition to sweet treats, Serendipity3 also offers a variety of savory bites like loaded burgers and pastas.
ICE, ICE, BABY
With fans like Cher, Jackie O, Beyoncé and Kim Kardashian, who could say no to Ocean Casino Resort’s (theoceanac.com) new restaurant Serendipity3? Since opening its doors June 1, this famed New York City spot has been serving up all the classics: Frrrozen Hot Chocolate, towering sundaes and bubbly floats, plus a sweet named after its newest partner, Selena Gomez, called the Selena Sundae—a sinfully sweet bite of cookies and cream ice cream topped with banana, hot fudge, cream-filled cookie crumbles, pink sugar, whipped cream and a cherry.

The shore is heating up this summer with eight restaurants opening at Tropicana Atlantic City’s (caesars.com/tropicana-ac) colorful boardwalk resort and casino. In May, the hotel welcomed Wild Honey Smokehouse and Tavern, an elevated barbecue and comfort food spot with double-barrel smoked cocktails. While enjoying slow-cooked, smoked-in-house meats, look out for a sushi restaurant, daiquiri bar, Midwest-inspired eatery and piano bar. Since opening in June, Ossu Japanese Tavern has been dazzling with yakitori, sushi and an extensive Japanese whisky and sake program, while Hash House A Go Go—opening in August—will delight with twisted farm food served skillet style on crispy potatoes, juicy burgers and craft cocktails. For drinks, try Purple Zebra’s daiquiris, launching soon, and Gin Ricky’s 4,000-square-foot dueling piano bar.
Gordon Ramsay’s beef Wellington is heavenly, wrapped in a buttery puff pastry.
HELL OF A BITE
Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen (gordonramsayrestaurants.com) is taking foodies to culinary heaven this August as it opens its first East Coast location in Atlantic City. With Season 21’s winner—who will be announced in the fall—as head chef, this fiery red restaurant in Caesars Atlantic City (caesars.com/caesars-ac) is a must-visit and features all of Ramsay’s signature dishes. Our recommendation? The infamous burger with asadero cheese, roasted jalapenos, avocado, oven-roasted tomatoes and jalapeno pesto aioli; tender beef Wellington; and sticky toffee pudding.
FELICE ANNIVERSARIO
Celebrate Girasole’s 30th anniversary with rich dishes like the spaghetti alla Nerano with zucchini, basil pesto and parmigiano.
Thirty years of Girasole’s (mygirasole.com) modern Italian gourmet bites is certainly worth celebrating. Year after year, owner Gino Iovino and his family continue their dedication to handcrafted cuisine, signature cocktails, impeccable service and style. Marking the monumental milestone is a coastal-chic renovation that will transport diners to Puglia with vibrant designs and imported Italian marble countertops. “Three decades later and I still want my guests to feel welcomed and wowed,” says Iovino. “It’s all about the quality of our ingredients and the marriage of food and fashion to create a memorable dining experience.” Stop by to try new menu items like risotto pescatore or classics like the whole grilled branzino and spinach ricotta ravioli.

ON A ROLL
Some things are worth weathering Route 70 traffic for—especially Daddy O’s (daddyolbi.com) summer sushi offerings. Available daily from 4PM, Sushi by the Shore is serving up mouthwatering rolls to sun-kissed visitors from the Fearless Restaurants’ chic rooftop bar. Cheers to the weekend with a spicy strawberry margarita, featuring chile-infused Mi Campo Blanco Tequila and strawberry, before indulging in fresh rolled sushi like the Forty Four Roll with shrimp tempura, salmon, avocado and eel sauce.
