Marrying Italian artisan craftsmanship and sustainability in a stylish way is no simple task—that is, for all but Sieme (wearesieme.com). With cardholders, wallets and handbags all handmade from repurposed luxury Italian leather, the brand is launching a summer collection this month, inspired by the delicate art of hand-macramé weaving discarded materials. “Because our bags are handcrafted 100% from rescued leather, each collection is inspired by the leather that is, in essence, another brand’s ‘trash,’” shares founder and Drexel alumna Cassandra Kane. Shop Kane’s favorite piece, the Cosma bag in black: a double-sided woven leather crossbody that doubles as a wristlet.Cheers to an evening of great art and delectable food at Davio’s Art & Champagne party.

STYLE
Everyone knows Rae of Light (raeoflightcustom.com) for the brand’s fun acrylic bags—each of which can be monogrammed. And now, owner Teddi Lightman is continuing the excitement with the launch of her Cool Mom purse, which follows a fun woven bag that pairs perfectly for the summer. “Whether you are a busy working mom or a stay-at-home parent, this bag is designed to help you look and feel your best, and to remind you of the amazing things you are capable of as a proud, strong and confident woman,” shares Lightman, who is a new mom herself. A light-blue hue and cursive “Cool Mom” engraving adorn the acrylic, glossy accessory. Plus, a detachable chain can take the bag from a clutch to a crossbody. It’s bound to bring a smile to every mom’s face.
