Explore works by the Bristol-born street artist at the Banksy exhibit.
ART While it’s nearly impossible to catch Banksy in real time, tickets to Banksy Was Here: The Exhibition (banksyexpo.com/philadelphia) at Fashion District Philadelphia will bring you closer than ever to this elusive street artist. Attend the “unauthorized” exhibit for virtual reality experiences, a display of over 80 genuine and certified artworks from Banksy’s collections, sculpture, installations and more. “We worked in collaboration with Lilley Fine Art/Contemporary Art, one of the largest art dealers worldwide, and a specialized art curator,” says executive producer John Zaller. “The exhibition is designed to be an unprecedented multisensory immersion into Banksy’s iconic works that retraces the history of the famous artist.”
Lisi Lerch’s recently opened a Bungalow boutique in Villanova.
STYLE Everyone who’s anyone saw photos from Tessa Hilton’s baby shower—but there was one local brand hiding behind the scenes: Lisi Lerch (lisilerch.com), who planned an earring scavenger hunt for guests. It’s been a busy season for the Main Line local (she just opened her first brick-and-mortar in September), but she isn’t stopping there. CREATE Embrace your creative side with CraftNOW Philadelphia’s (craftnowphila. org) series of events coming this month—think a symposium, hands-on craft programs and more. The eighth annual CraftMONTH will kick off on Nov. 5 with events like crafting activities at Smith Memorial Playground, where craft-filled backpacks complete the family-fun affair. On Nov. 11, head to the Public | Private Symposium to explore continually evolving concepts of shared versus personal space. “The theme Public | Private was selected because it provides a thread that unites the current work of so many scholars and artisans,” says Executive Director Leila Cartier. Enjoy of evening of candle-making at Wax Wine while sipping your favorite bottle
IMMERSE Since opening in 2019, founders of Wax + Wine (waxandwine.com) Alan and Jordan Beletz have continued to create unforgettable experiences combining BYOB wine and candles as guests connect with one another through creativity and conversation. So much so that they’ve outgrown their old outpost—and are now moving into a larger location in Old City this month. PS: It will also feature a bottle shop from Allegro Winery on the lower level. “We will have a much larger space with two floors to accommodate parties for up to 60 guests,” says Jordan. “With our atmosphere, increased space and adding the ability to buy wine at our new bottle shop, Wax + Wine will be a social experience for guests to come get creative or converse over a glass of wine (and maybe a charcuterie board).”
